2026 TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award

As the Turkish Academy of Sciences, we have been a partner of TEKNOFEST, the world's largest space, aviation, and technology event, since 2019. In 2021, the “TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award” was established to reward doctoral theses produced in Turkey in the priority areas of TEKNOFEST.

These traditional awards are given to thesis owners who have won first, second, and third place as a result of scientific peer reviews conducted in four categories: Natural and Engineering Sciences, Health and Life Sciences, Social and Humanities Sciences, and Basic Sciences. Furthermore, in line with the decision of the Academy Council, the “Fuat Sezgin History of Science Doctoral Award” will be presented for the first time this year. The TÜBA-TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Awards are presented to the winners by our President, Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN.

Within the scope of the Award Program, doctoral theses on topics considered priority areas for TEKNOFEST will undergo a scientific evaluation process. Based on the TÜBA Council Decision, the first-place thesis author will receive 200,000 Turkish Lira, the second-place author will receive 150,000 Turkish Lira, and the third-place author will receive 100,000 Turkish Lira for 2026.
