As Konya Food and Agriculture University (“the University”), we use cookies on www.gidatarim.edu.tr and its sub-domains in line with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the Personal Data Protection Authority’s Guide on Cookie Practices. This policy explains which cookies we use, why, and how you can manage them.
1. What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device through your browser. They allow the site to work securely, remember your choices and, with your consent, measure how the site is used.

Analytics cookies are not set and Google Analytics is not loaded until you give your consent.
3. Browser storage
Your theme (light/dark) and accessibility settings (font size, contrast, reading aids) are kept in your browser’s local storage. This information is never sent to our servers and is used only to provide the feature you have chosen.
4. Embedded content and social media
YouTube videos on our pages are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); YouTube does not set cookies unless you play a video. When you play a video, Google’s own privacy terms apply. Social media icons are plain links; no data is shared with these platforms unless you click them.
5. Legal basis and transfers abroad
Strictly necessary cookies are processed because they are required to provide the website service (KVKK Article 5(2)). Analytics cookies are processed only on the basis of your explicit consent (KVKK Article 5(1)). Data collected by Google Analytics may be transferred to and processed on Google LLC’s servers abroad; this transfer also relies on your explicit consent (KVKK Article 9).
6. Managing your preferences
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw it, analytics cookies are deleted from your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent some parts of the site (e.g. forms) from working.
