
Konya Food and Agriculture University hosted Ghanaian Minister of Food and Agriculture Eric Opoku, Ghanaian Ambassador A. Nasiru-Deen Abdul, and their delegation.
During the visit, the delegation toured the university's laboratories, application areas, and research centers, gaining comprehensive information about the academic and scientific work being carried out. Projects focusing on sustainable agriculture, food security, plant production, animal husbandry technologies, and R&D activities were discussed in particular.
During the meetings, opportunities for cooperation between Ghana and Turkey in the fields of agriculture and food, particularly cocoa production and agricultural trade, were evaluated. In addition, mutual views were exchanged on student and academic exchange programs, joint research projects, and information and technology sharing.
The university administration thanked Minister Eric Opoku and Ambassador A. Nasiru-Deen Abdul for their kind visit. The visit is expected to contribute to strengthening academic, scientific, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
