Fatma Nur Dolu, a research assistant in the Department of Psychology, and our undergraduate students Nisa Andaç, Betül Boza, Lamia Yeliz Yüksek, and Hikmet Eda Bıyık presented the findings of their undergraduate thesis project titled “Positive and Negative Psychological Health Outcomes, Eco-Anxiety Levels, and Environmental Behaviors of Farmers in Türkiye” via an online oral presentation at the 9th British Environmental Psychology Society (BrEPS) Conference held at the University of Nottingham on September 4–5.
In their study, they reached out to farmers living in Central Anatolia to compare their levels of psychological health, eco-anxiety, and environmental behaviors with those of non-farmer participants. They also examined these variables in detail in relation to factors such as financial losses in agricultural activities and the primary type of crop cultivated.
