
The “9th Food, Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences Congress,” an important scientific platform at both national and international levels in the fields of food, agriculture, and veterinary sciences, began in Konya on April 3–5, 2026. Bringing together academics, researchers, and industry representatives, the congress opened its doors with strong participation.
The opening program of the congress started with a speech delivered by former Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli. Emphasizing the strategic importance of scientific studies in the agriculture and food sectors, Pakdemirli made evaluations regarding sustainable production, food security, and the future role of technological transformation.
In the opening speech, the importance of increasing scientific collaborations and strengthening university-industry integration was also highlighted. The congress is expected to pave the way for new projects and international partnerships by encouraging interdisciplinary knowledge sharing.
As part of the three-day congress, scientific sessions, presentations, and panels will be organized on many topics such as food technologies, agricultural innovation, animal health, and sustainability. Participants will have the opportunity to share current developments in their fields and establish new collaborations.
