Are there specific application and training dates?

The application dates for the TESOL Certificate program are as follows:

Applications are not accepted outside the dates mentioned above.

The 150-hour online module must be completed within 6 months. Otherwise, the candidate's account will be deactivated automatically. The internship must take place during the academic semester.

Will TESOL issue an internationally recognized certificate?

Yes, TESOL is an organization accredited by HARVARD PUBLISHERS. Therefore, each participant receives a "HARVARD PUBLISHERS Certificate in TESOL" upon successful completion of the course.

Do I need to have previous teaching experience?

No, no. TESOL will give each of its trainees many chances to teach real students. This way, you will gain experience by teaching English to real students throughout the training.

How much will I have to study during the program?

You can complete your online TESOL training by logging in from your computer connected to the internet from anywhere at any time. Active for 6 months, the more time you spend on the internet, the sooner you can complete the program. Within 6 months, candidates who do not complete the online training will have their system automatically shut down and an additional fee will be required to reopen it.

Who are the students with whom we will practice teaching?

The students participating in these courses, where you will practice teaching, are the students of Konya Food and Agriculture University Department of Foreign Languages Preparatory Class. The internship program includes Listening and Speaking and Reading and Writing courses.

How will I be assessed during and at the end of the course?

The theoretical parts of the course consist of modules. Feedback, comments and grading will be given on each module. There is no written exam for the given modules, the evaluation will be done by the "continuous evaluation" method on the modules. The face-to-face training process will be evaluated by a written exam at the end of the training and the internship practice will be evaluated by Observation.

Is English taught in the TESOL certificate program?

No, it is not. TESOL is a certificate program and definitely not a language course. Although the program does not teach English, only candidates who already have a certain level of English are eligible to participate in the program.

I would like to use my TESOL certificate in Turkey in private education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education:

We have been informed that with the latest regulation, only TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, etc. certificates will no longer be accepted in institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. In this case, candidates are expected to take and pass the exam organized by the Ministry of National Education in addition to TESOL certificate training. Candidates who want to use their certificates in Turkey should follow the steps below:

About the Examination Organized by the Ministry of National Education

Candidates who want to work in institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education are required to take the MoNE exam.

These institutions and organizations have started to accept "Master Teaching Certificate" approved by the Ministry of National Education or C certificate from various language exams.

The exam will be held periodically (every 2 months) in Ankara, Izmir, Istanbul and Antalya(new exam centers may be added to this list in the future).

The exams will be held on Saturday or Sunday at a public school determined by the Ministry of National Education.

Candidates who wish to take this exam must indicate this to our institution during registration to the program.
