Department of Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering is one of the fastest-developing and changing disciplines in today’s world. Looking back from the past to the present, it is evident that computer technologies have permeated every aspect of life. Both companies and end-users make extensive use of computers.

The evolving world is now progressing towards becoming an information society. Computer engineers are undoubtedly one of the key players in the processes of data generation, storage, processing and information retrieval.

Our students do not merely learn computer programming, computer networks, data structures, software engineering and database systems in our department; they also learn how to gather, analyse, design and implement the requirements needed when developing solutions to engineering problems.

As the Computer Science Department, our aim is to train computer engineers who keep pace with technology, can provide solutions to engineering problems, and aim to transform the knowledge they acquire into tangible products.
