Research-Oriented Education
With our research capabilities in fields such as agricultural production, molecular biology and genetics, and agricultural and food technologies, we rank among the leading universities. However, our research and educational opportunities are not limited to these fields alone. We offer advanced undergraduate and graduate education opportunities in fields such as software and computer engineering, psychology, international trade, business administration, and architecture, and our faculty includes leading researchers and educators in these fields. With its exceptional research infrastructure, KGTÜ was selected by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) in 2023 as a university specializing in Digital Technologies in Agriculture.

We consider developing our students’ research skills and fostering learning by doing to be our most important educational mission. We strongly support our students in gaining research and project experience even during their undergraduate studies. In 2022, our university ranked first in Konya in terms of the acceptance rate per student under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Student Research Projects Support Program. Our students have achieved success in over 60 projects under the TÜBİTAK and TEKNOFEST programs.

International Collaborations
Our students have access to study and internship opportunities abroad through international collaborations with numerous universities. Under the Erasmus+ program, our students study, complete internships, and participate in youth projects at various universities and institutions across Europe. In addition, our university has bilateral cooperation agreements with many different universities, such as Michigan State University, Kyoto University, Purdue University, Montana State University, the University of Missouri, UC Davis, and King Saud University, and our students benefit from student exchange opportunities with these universities.

A Vibrant Student Life
Our Rector’s Office provides full support to more than 30 student clubs founded by our students and active in various fields; throughout the year, our student clubs organize numerous events both on and off campus. We offer a vibrant student life with indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a fitness center, and a variety of conferences, panels, and cultural gatherings.

Comprehensive English Language Education
Our English Language Program, accredited by British Educational Affairs (BEDAF), offers a comprehensive English education designed to equip students with the skills required for international higher education. We offer high-quality English preparatory education through our British Educational Affairs (BEDAF)-accredited program, which issues the European Language Passport and features state-of-the-art infrastructure such as a 4K Virtual Reality Classroom. In this way, our students are not only preparing for our English-language programs but are also being prepared to become professionals capable of practicing their careers at an international level.

Practice- and Experience-Based Education
At KGTÜ, we believe in the importance of experiential learning, which aims to actively connect theoretical knowledge with real-world situations. Practical and experiential education is one of the cornerstones of our university’s educational mission. Through Konya Şeker A.Ş., our other private-sector partners, and our leading research centers and laboratories in the region, you will have access to practical and experiential learning opportunities.

Our university is located in Konya, in the heart of Turkey—a city renowned for its rich history, cultural heritage, and hospitality, and offering affordable living costs. Konya has convenient travel connections to other major cities via high-speed train, bus, and airplane. The city also has a well-developed public transportation system with buses and trams. Our campus is right in the heart of the city but offers a university life away from the hustle and bustle. The High-Speed Train Station is just a 10-minute walk from our campus.

In line with our vision at KGTÜ, we believe in maintaining a sustainable balance between technology and nature; in enabling people to live as healthy and productive individuals in harmony with nature even in urban areas; and in the importance of considering this balance in the use of the world’s resources. We embrace the vision of “green science” and “green campus” in the design of our campus, the curriculum of our programs, and our research activities. We rank 5th among foundation universities in terms of open and enclosed space per student.
