The Future of Agriculture Takes Shape at KAPSÜL: Major Agriculture Workshop Focusing on Five Key Areas

KAPSÜL hosted a major academic gathering featuring a strategic workshop that will shape the future of the agriculture sector. Organized with the participation of MEVKA (Mevlana Development Agency), the Konya Metropolitan Municipality KAPSÜL Technology Platform, and Konya Food and Agriculture University, the workshop featured in-depth analysis of critical agricultural topics across five separate panels.

“Collaboration” Emphasized in Opening Remarks
During the opening segment of the program, Mehmet Reha Koçak, General Coordinator of the Capsule Technology Platform; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ezgi AYTAÇ, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Natural Sciences; and Dr. İhsan BOSTANCI, General Secretary of MEVKA, delivered speeches highlighting the importance of agricultural innovation and collaboration among universities, industry, the public sector, and farmers.

Future Agricultural Strategies at Five Different Tables

At the five specialized tables established as part of the workshop, the current state of the sector and proposed solutions were discussed under the moderation of KGTÜ faculty members:

       o    Moderator: Research Assistant Harun MERAL
•    Panel 4: Agriculture-Food Systems, Value Added & Innovation from Field to Table
       o    Moderator: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ezgi AYTAÇ
•    Panel 5: Agricultural Economics, Cooperatives & Rural Entrepreneurship
       o    Moderator: Dr. Mustafa ÖZSARI

“We Are Generating Knowledge for a Sustainable Future”
Prof. Dr. Kıvanç BİLECEN, Vice Rector of KGTÜ, who delivered the closing remarks of the workshop, stated that the outcomes from the sessions would be documented in a report and shared with the relevant authorities. Prof. Dr. Bilecen thanked all participants and emphasized that the university remains committed to continuing to provide scientific and technological contributions to agriculture in Konya and Turkey.
