The research project titled "Examination and Comparison of Cryptographic Methods for Addressing Security Vulnerabilities in IoT Devices Available to Consumers, " prepared by Furkan Can Süme, a student at Konya University of Food and Agriculture, and Mehtap Pamuk and Ayşe Sude Gölezlioğlu, students at Fırat University, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Student Research Projects Support Program.

The project aims to address security vulnerabilities encountered in consumer IoT devices using cryptographic methods.

As part of the study, a comparative analysis of symmetric, asymmetric, and hybrid encryption techniques will be conducted in terms of performance, energy efficiency, and security, and solutions suitable for Turkey’s local industry needs will be developed in line with NIST standards and KVKK and GDPR regulations.

As Konya Food and Agriculture University, we congratulate our students for demonstrating a fine example of inter-university collaboration and hope their project will make significant contributions to the field of IoT security. We believe this work will add value to both the academic community and industrial applications.
