As the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, we aim to educate individuals who can actively participate in the fields of health, agriculture, energy and food biotechnology as well as basic research in these fields.

As the faculty members of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, we are aware of the importance of not only theoretical education in a single technical field in a developing and changing world, but also an education that allows us to understand different disciplines and bring different approaches to problems, in short, to connect the dots. We are aware of the importance of technical skills and analytical thinking beyond a diploma in business and academic life, and that these can only be achieved by minds that are accustomed to understanding and thinking, not memorizing.

With its different research and development laboratories, interdisciplinary structure and technical understanding of sectoral / social skills in the technical sense, we want to bring versatile scientists suitable for the intellectual needs of our age to working life and academia.

With our faculty members who are experts in different fields and have academic and industrial experience, we want to show you not only the basics of molecular biology but also where it is heading and how it interacts with other disciplines.
Molecular biology and genetics discipline, which has many application areas such as health, agriculture, energy and food, has become one of the priority development areas for our country in recent years. Many institutions such as genetic diagnosis laboratories, forensic medicine laboratories, food analysis laboratories, domestic drug production facilities, domestic tissue culture laboratories, in vitro fertilization centers, food production factories, patent offices and consulting firms are looking for molecular biology and genetics graduates.
