Our Internationalization Vision

The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics supports student and academic staff mobility by collaborating with various higher education institutions in line with its internationalization vision. In this context, thanks to the protocols signed by our department with universities in different countries, our students have the opportunity to meet different cultures and education systems, and our faculty members have the opportunity to develop international academic collaborations.

Application Requirements

  • GPA of at least 20 for undergraduate students and at least 2.50 for graduate students,
  • To have at least 60 points from the language exam administered once a year by the English Preparatory Coordinatorship.

Evaluation

  • The ranking is based on the language exam, Erasmus language exam and other documents. Points will be deducted for those who have previously used Erasmus rights.

Academic Recognition

  • A Learning Agreement is prepared for courses taken abroad, and an Academic Recognition Certificate is issued upon return. Thus, the student's courses are recognized without interruption.

Internship Mobility

  • The necessary academic and administrative infrastructure has been established for students to gain professional experience by doing internships abroad.

  1. Who can apply for the Erasmus+ program?
  • All students at undergraduate and graduate level can apply. It is necessary to meet the specified GPA and language proficiency requirements.
  1. Which documents are required for the application?
  • Application form, transcript, language proficiency certificate and additional documents are required. Detailed lists are shared in the announcements.
  1. What is the difference between Erasmus+ study mobility and internship mobility?
  • In study mobility, students take courses at the contracted university.
  • In internship mobility, students gain professional experience in institutions and organizations abroad.
  1. How are the courses taken under Erasmus+ counted?
  • With the Learning Agreement, the ECTS credits of the courses are determined in advance and are officially recognized with the Academic Recognition Certificate upon return.
  1. Is Erasmus+ grant support available?

Yes. Accepted students are provided with a grant in the amount determined within the scope of Erasmus+. The grant is a contribution to living expenses.
