Psychology is a branch of science that examines, studies and researches the emotions, thoughts and behavior patterns of beings from birth to death and is the last branch of science to be separated from philosophy. Although psychology examines all beings, its main field is human beings. It is a branch that tries to examine and investigate the individual's relations with himself/herself, other people and objects in every dimension. Psychology aims to examine, evaluate and research the human being, who is a social being, not only with his/her social environment but also with his/her vital geography, and to transfer the results to his/her vital field.

Human beings are the most important point to be referred to in understanding the problems arising in many fields such as politics, technology, health and economy in the world. The effort to understand human behavior and mental processes points to the science of psychology. The theoretical and practical application of psychology in many disciplines increases the interest in psychology today.

The Psychology undergraduate program, which was established in Konya Food and Agriculture University in 2019, is a department that evaluates human beings not only as a simple individual or only as a social being, but within the vital geography of human life and tries to transfer this to life. In addition to providing education above national and international academic standards, the Department of Psychology aims to contribute to universal knowledge by providing the ability to conduct research and evaluate related research in an analytical way.

Konya Food and Agriculture University Department of Psychology undergraduate program offers students the opportunity to learn by doing-experiencing and discover themselves and determine a course program suitable for their personal development with general field education that progresses from theoretical to practical; research, project and social responsibility courses and elective courses that can be taken from different departments.

Within this program, where the language of instruction is Turkish, students are expected to be equipped in branches such as social psychology, cognitive psychology, experimental psychology, clinical psychology and to have knowledge about different approaches in psychology. In this direction, the main goal of the Psychology program is to train qualified psychology graduates who transform the theoretical knowledge of psychology into skills and develop their knowledge and skills in practice.
