As part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25, a conference on Women’s Rights was held at our university. At the event, where Attorney Şeyma Biçer Yıldırım participated as the keynote speaker, comprehensive information was provided on women’s rights, legal procedures related to violence against women, protective and preventive measures, and the use of the KADES application. The importance of legal remedies in combating violence, the rights women possess, and raising social awareness were emphasized. The event was organized within the scope of the Social Responsibility course taught by Lect. Bengisu Büyükmumcu, and first-year Psychology students Gül Eda Çiftçi, İsmigül
Doğanay, and Elif Sudenaz Ilgaz played an active role in coordinating the process.
At the end of the program, participants shared their thoughts and questions aimed at increasing social sensitivity toward violence against women. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arı, Head of the Psychology Department, presented a certificate of appreciation to Attorney Şeyma Biçer Yıldırım.
