Message from the Program Chair

Dear Prospective Graduate Students,

As the Department of Computer Engineering at Konya Food and Agriculture University, we aim to carry the educational experience we have built at the undergraduate level forward to the level of scientific research and specialization through the Master's and Ph.D. programs we offer within our Graduate School.

Today, computer engineering is a discipline that extends well beyond the development of software and hardware; it is transforming nearly every area of life, from healthcare to agriculture and from industry to public services. The demand for qualified specialists and researchers in rapidly evolving fields such as artificial intelligence, data science and cybersecurity is growing every day. These fields require a strong theoretical foundation, analytical thinking, research competence and a sense of ethical responsibility. Accordingly, our primary goal is to train competent researchers and specialists who follow current developments in their field, turn their knowledge into original research and applicable solutions, and uphold the principles of scientific ethics.

Our Programs

Our Master's program with thesis offers students the opportunity to apply scientific research methods and to deepen their expertise through advanced courses, a seminar and thesis work.

Our Ph.D. program consists of coursework, qualifying examination and thesis stages, and aims to educate our students as scientists capable of conducting independent research and making original contributions to the field.

Program Highlights

•Current Research Areas: Focusing on current areas of computer engineering, particularly artificial intelligence and machine learning, data science, computer vision, software engineering, computer networks and cybersecurity, and scientific computing, our programs aim to provide students with advanced knowledge and research experience in these fields.

•Research-Oriented and Interdisciplinary Approach: We encourage our students to work in close collaboration with their advisors throughout their thesis and project work, to share their research results through national and international publications, and to carry out joint studies with other disciplines.

•Ethical and Responsible Technology: We regard scientific ethics, data privacy and AI ethics as a fundamental part of our research culture.

•Academic and Industry Careers: We aim for our graduates to take on positions requiring advanced expertise in academia, R&D centers, public institutions and the IT sector. For Master's graduates planning an academic career, our Ph.D. program offers a natural next step.

We are committed to training researchers who do not merely use technology, but develop it and guide it in ways that benefit society.
