Faculty Unit Quality Committee

Faculty Unit Quality Commissions ensure the implementation of the quality assurance system at the faculty level by working in coordination with the university-level Quality Commission. The Faculty Unit Quality Commission serves as the unit responsible for implementing and monitoring the quality assurance system. It implements university-level quality policies at the faculty level and provides feedback. It conducts its work in accordance with the criteria of the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) and the university’s internal quality assurance system.

Its primary responsibilities are as follows:

• Implementing the faculty’s quality policy in alignment with the university’s quality policy
• Implementing the continuous improvement (PDCA) cycle
• Monitoring educational, research, and administrative processes from a quality perspective
• Collecting faculty-related data (student numbers, publications, projects, etc.)
• To prepare the faculty’s self-assessment reports
• Contribute to the University Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (KİDR)
• Monitoring the implementation of program competencies and course learning outcomes
• Evaluating student satisfaction surveys
• Analyzing alumni feedback
• Preparing for accreditation processes
• Track academic publications, projects, and scientific activities
• Reporting on the faculty’s community engagement activities
• Monitoring the extent to which the faculty’s strategic goals are being achieved
• Collecting and analyzing data related to performance indicators
• Developing an action plan for identified shortcomings
• Monitoring areas for improvement based on previous evaluation results
• Submitting regular reports to the University Quality Commission
• Implementing quality initiatives from senior management at the faculty level
