Biotechnology Program Learning Objectives
EO1.To provide students with a body of knowledge in the fields of biotechnology, molecular biology and genetics, bioengineering, drug development, food, and agriculture.
LO2.To ensure that the acquired knowledge is integrated with modern laboratory techniques and to develop competence in scientific research.
LO3.To train competent researchers who can produce value-added technology while adhering to bioethical principles in interdisciplinary R&D, innovation, and bioprocess design processes.
Program Objective 4:To support graduates in playing an active role in the academic world and the biotechnology industry by developing critical thinking, project management, and an awareness of scientific production.
Biotechnology Program Learning Outcomes
PO1.Graduates will possess the ability to apply fundamental scientific thinking, experimental approaches, and analytical thinking to the problems they encounter.
PO2.Graduates acquire the ability to think solution-oriented when faced with complex problems; to this end, they effectively use fundamental scientific and engineering methods.
LO3.Demonstrates advanced mastery of general concepts in the field of biotechnology; knows how to access detailed information during research processes.
PÇ4.Students acquire in-depth knowledge in their specialized subfields; they gain interdisciplinary conceptual competence sufficient to conduct collaborative work with other basic science and engineering disciplines.
PÇ5. Can transfer and integrate fundamental biotechnology concepts into strategic application areas such as food technologies, food safety, agricultural production technologies, and health technologies.
PÇ6.Understands the global impacts of biotechnological developments on societies in economic, environmental, and social spheres, and conducts their work based on the principles of sustainability.
PÇ7.Possesses the ability to independently conceptualize, design, and carry out scientific research and R&D processes related to their field of expertise.
