Mission of the Biotechnology Program

As the Biotechnology Program, our mission is to train competent experts who integrate the principles of life sciences and engineering with the latest theoretical and practical knowledge in modern biotechnology, and who-development processes; and to train competent experts who adhere to bioethical principles and possess a sense of social responsibility. We are committed to preparing our students—as researchers and leading professionals who can approach global challenges in the fields of microbial, plant, animal, or medical biotechnology with an interdisciplinary and critical perspective, are proficient in advanced laboratory technologies, and capable of transforming scientific outputs into value-added products and technologies—as researchers and leading professionals in both academic and industrial settings.

As the Biotechnology Program, our vision is to be a leading education and research program recognized nationally and internationally for its scientific research and technology development capabilities, and to guide innovations in the field of biotechnology. We aim to play a pioneering role in university-industry integration through high-quality projects and industrial partnerships in the life sciences; and to make a lasting impact at global standards in both the scientific community and the biotechnology sector through the academics and R&D experts we train.
