The project by Pembe Rumeysa ADIYAMAN, a student in our Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Student Research Project Support Program

The project titled “Investigation of the Effects of Putrescine on the Responses of Sugar Beets to Drought and Heat Stress”by Pembe Rumeysa ADIYAMAN, a student in our Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, has been awarded funding underthe TÜBİTAK 2209-A-University Student Research Projects Support Program

This project aims to investigate the effects of putresin application on the responses of sugar beets to drought and heat stress. In addition to biochemical analyses such as MDA, H₂O₂, proline, sugar, and total phenol levels, as well as enzyme activities including SOD, CAT, and GPX, the plant’s morphological parameters will also be examined. It is expected that putresin will enhance the plant’s defense systems by increasing stress tolerance, thereby contributing to the reduction of yield loss.
