English Level Assessment and Proficiency Test

ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEVEL ASSESSMENT AND PROFICIENCY EXAM

General Information

1.SESSION

Listening Exam - 15 points

Students will be given 3 different audio recordings and will be asked to answer the questions.

Written Exam - 65 points

Section 1 (50 points): In this section, students will be asked 50 questions covering reading, vocabulary, and grammar.

Section 2 (15 points): In this section, students will be asked to write an essay of at least 250 words on a given topic.

2.SESSION

Speaking Exam - 20 points

In the speaking exam, students are first expected to provide general information about themselves. They will then be asked questions on various topics.

NOTE:Students who achieve a total score of at least 65 inthe EnglishLevel Assessment and Proficiency Exam will be considered successful.

Students who do not take the English Level Assessment and Proficiency Exam will be considered to have accepted to start at the most basic language level. Our Foreign Languages Department recommends that students take this exam so that they can be placed in the correct class and at the correct level.

· The classrooms where the exam will be held and the student lists will be posted at the entrance of the Foreign Languages Department Building at Konya Food and Agriculture University.

· Depending on participation, exam times, group lists, class lists, or possible changes related to classes will be announced to our students by the Foreign Languages Department Instructors.

· Students taking the English Level Placement and Proficiency Exam must bring their Turkish ID cards, pencils or pens, and erasers with them. Pencils and erasers will not be provided during the exam. will not be provided during the exam.
