Our Vision for Internationalization

In line with its vision for internationalization, the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics supports student and faculty mobility by establishing partnerships with various higher education institutions. Within this framework, thanks to the agreements our department has signed with universities in different countries, our students have the opportunity to experience different cultures and educational systems, while our faculty members have the opportunity to develop international academic collaborations.

Application Requirements

  • Undergraduate students must have a minimum GPA of 20, and graduate students must have a minimum GPA of 2.50,
  • and a score of at least 60 on the language exam administered once a year by the English Preparatory Program Coordination Office.

Evaluation

  • Candidates are ranked based on the language exam, the Erasmus language exam, and other documents. A point deduction is applied to those who have previously used their Erasmus eligibility.

Academic Recognition

  • A Learning Agreement is prepared for courses taken abroad, and an Academic Recognition Certificate is issued upon return. This ensures that the student’s courses are recognized without interruption.

Internship Mobility

  • The necessary academic and administrative infrastructure has been established to enable students to gain professional experience through internships abroad.

1. Who can apply to the Erasmus+ program?

  • All undergraduate and graduate students may apply. Applicants must meet the specified GPA and language proficiency requirements.

2. What documents are required for the application?

  • An application form, transcript, language proficiency certificate, and any additional documents, if applicable, are required. Detailed lists are provided in the announcements.

3. What is the difference between Erasmus+ study mobility and internship mobility?

  • In study mobility, students take courses at a partner university.
  • In internship mobility, students gain professional experience at institutions and organizations abroad.

4. How are courses taken under the Erasmus+ program credited?

  • The ECTS credits for the courses are determined in advance through the Learning Agreement and are officially recognized upon return with an Academic Recognition Certificate.

5. Is financial aid provided under the Erasmus+ program?

Yes. Accepted students receive a grant in the amount specified under the Erasmus+ program. The grant is intended to contribute toward living expenses.
