SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES IN AGRICULTURE

Academia and industry came together in a program organized to increase agricultural production efficiency, promote sustainable agricultural practices, and inform farmers about current agricultural developments. At the meeting, academics from Konya Food and Agriculture University discussed many topics, including scientific approaches in agriculture, modern production techniques, soil and plant health, efficient irrigation methods, and the effects of climate change on agriculture. Konya Sugar officials provided information about projects carried out for farmers, support mechanisms, and efforts to improve quality in agricultural production.

ISSUES ADDRESSED

During one-on-one meetings with farmers as part of the program, issues encountered in the field and proposed solutions were discussed. Farmers had the opportunity to express the difficulties they face in their production processes and their expectations, while experts answered questions and shared practical recommendations. Officials emphasized the importance of university-industry collaboration in agricultural development, highlighting that combining scientific knowledge with field experience offers significant contributions to both producers and the country's agriculture. It was stated that such meetings aim to provide farmers with direct access to up-to-date information.

MEETINGS WILL CONTINUE

The Seydişehir Farmers' Meeting is expected to contribute to the spread of conscious practices in agricultural production and to boost the development of agriculture in the region. It was stated that Konya Food and Agriculture University and Konya Sugar will continue to meet with farmers through similar events in the coming period.
