Chair of the Board of Trustees

Prof. Dr. Mehmet KILIÇ	He was born in 1970 in Niksar, Tokat. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education Teaching from Selçuk University, his master’s degree from the Institute of Health Sciences at Selçuk University, and his Ph.D. in 2003 from the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the Institute of Health Sciences, Gazi University. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2009 and to Professor in 2015. He currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Education at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Selçuk University, and concurrently holds the position of Department Chair. He has authored numerous academic articles published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. He currently serves as the Chair of the Education Committee of the Turkish Wrestling Federation.

Prof. Dr. Erol TURAN, Rector of	He was born in the Akyaka district of Kars. He completed his elementary, middle, and high school education in Akyaka, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Selçuk University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Administration. He completed his master’s degree in Political Science and Social Sciences at Selçuk University and his doctoral studies in Business, Management, and Organization at the same university. After working for a long time as an instructor at Selçuk University’s Karapınar Vocational School, he began working as a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Kastamonu University, in 2013. That same year, he served as a visiting faculty member at the Naven Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. Starting in 2014, he served as Department Chair of Political Science and Public Administration at Kastamonu University. He also served as director of the Abana Sabahat-Mesut Yılmaz Vocational School and the Çatalzeytin Vocational School at Kastamonu University. He has authored numerous scholarly books, articles, and research projects on topics such as public administration reform, political attitudes and behavior, political institutions and structures, organizational and bureaucratic inefficiencies, and the effectiveness of public services. Turan is fluent in English. He is married and the father of two children.
Adnan AYYILDIZ	He was born in 1964 in Çumra, Konya. He completed his elementary, middle, and high school education in Çumra and earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the Faculty of Education at Dicle University. He served in Hatay from 1985 to 1990. He completed his military service as a teacher in Kastamonu. He served as a school principal in Çumra for many years and retired in 2012. Adnan AYYILDIZ, owner of the Çumra Special Education Institution, is also involved in agriculture and meat and dairy production. He volunteers with various civil society organizations. Ayyıldız is married and the father of two children.
Adnan YAĞCI	He was born in Çumra in 1965. He completed his elementary and middle school education in İçeriçumra and his high school education at the Vocational High School in Konya. A graduate of the Forestry Management program, Yağcı served as a branch manager at various branches of Şekerbank from 1990 to 2004. He served as General Manager of Şeker Süt A.Ş. from 2005 to 2009, and as a Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman from 2010 to 2021. Since 2009, he has served as the founding director of a rehabilitation center; founded a Special Education School and a Vocational Training Center; and managed the Private Health Vocational, Aviation, and Anatolian High School. He has served as Provincial Chair of the Turkey Beyazay Association in Konya, as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Association’s National Headquarters, and as Vice President; he has also served as president of a sports club dedicated to people with disabilities. He holds certifications in athletics coaching for athletes with special needs and as a life coach for the visually impaired. He is currently engaged in farming and serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman of Konya Şeker A.Ş.
Prof. Dr. Ali KARABACAK	He was born in 1970 in the village of Saçıkara, in the Kadınhanı district of Konya. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Animal Science at the Faculty of Agriculture, Selçuk University; his master’s degree from the Department of Agricultural Structures and Irrigation at the Institute of Natural Sciences at Selçuk University, and his Ph.D. in 2007 from the Department of Animal Science at the Institute of Natural Sciences at Selçuk University. He was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2017. She currently serves as the Chair of the Animal Breeding and Improvement Division within the Department of Animal Science at Selçuk University’s Faculty of Agriculture. She has published numerous academic articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. She served as the founding president of the Konya Animal Science Association.
Hacer GENÇ	Born in Konya in 1978. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering at the Faculty of Agriculture, Selçuk University, and her master’s degree in Food Engineering at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Afyon Kocatepe University. She worked at Şekersüt Food Products Inc. from 2001 to 2009. Subsequently, she founded a catering company in Konya, which she continues to operate today.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin OKTAY	He graduated in 1994 from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Education at the Faculty of Education, Selçuk University. In 1996, he began working as a research assistant in the department from which he graduated. He completed his master’s degree (2001) and Ph.D. (2008) at the Institute of Social Sciences at Selçuk University. He has published academic articles and books in national and international peer-reviewed journals related to his field. He currently serves as a faculty member at the Ahmet Keleşoğlu Faculty of Education at Necmettin Erbakan University.
Prof. Dr. Süleyman PATLAR	He was born in Konya in 1969. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the Department of Physical Education at the School of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Education, Selçuk University, his master’s degree in 1999 from the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the Institute of Health Sciences, Selçuk University, and his Ph.D. in 2005 from the Department of Physiology (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine) at the Institute of Health Sciences, Selçuk University. He was promoted to associate professor in 2013 and to full professor in 2018. He currently serves as the chair of the Sports Health Division in the Department of Coach Education at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Selçuk University. He has published numerous research articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals. He has served as a principal investigator and researcher in international and national projects. He remains a member of the Turkish Society of Sports Sciences and the Turkish Football Coaches Association.
