Message from the Rector

Dear Students, Dear Food and Agriculture University Family,

With the Decree of the Presidency dated December 9, 2022 and numbered 2022/661, I have been appointed as the Rector of Konya Food and Agriculture University with the appreciation and consent of the members of the Board of Trustees of Konya Food and Agriculture University.

Konya Food and Agriculture University was established in Konya under the leadership of the Scientific Research, Technology, Education and Culture Foundation (BARTEK) established in 2010 by Konya Seker A.S., Turkey's producing power. It is the first specialized university in the field of our country, which was designed as an international research university providing education in English in accordance with the new higher education mission and adopted the mission of"International University Transforming Knowledge into Product". Our University, which started education for the first time in the 2016-2017 academic year, is a foundation university with an innovative education model, highly qualified academic staff with international experience and university-industry cooperation opportunities.

Dear Parents, you entrust us with your most precious asset in life. Being aware of this, our greatest desire is to raise our children as individuals who can compete worldwide, who are curious, questioning, researching, producing solutions rather than problems, and who are beneficial to society. It will be the greatest happiness for us to be able to graduate our young people, who will shape the future of our country, as responsible experts who are sought after in the business world after the education they will receive.

Dear students, as Konya Food and Agriculture University; Our main goal is to raise entrepreneurial individuals who are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and technologies, who can think internationally as well as nationally, and who have high self-confidence. We will be happy to see you among us as a part of the Konya Food and Agriculture University family.

Our main goal is to take our University, which adds value to the development of our country and has been working non-stop with the goal of sustainable development since its establishment, further with the same determination. In a world of rapid change and transformation, we will always maintain the pride and excitement of being a university that not only transfers knowledge but also produces it. It is our duty to work with all our strength to be among the respected higher education institutions of our country and the world. We will continue on our way by adding new ones every day to our achievements that we have developed from the past to the present. Our goal is to shoulder the strong and prosperous Turkey of the 21st century. We will achieve this together. Our aim is to create a working environment where a happy, peaceful, impartial, integrative and realistic management approach prevails, where ideas are freely expressed and discussed, and an academic atmosphere prevails.
