Nefise ÇETİN, İlayda EVCİL, and Sıla Öykü DİZLEK, students in our university’s Department of Psychology, conducted their study titled “ The Relationship Between Perceived Stress, Loneliness, and Self-Efficacy and Digital Game Addiction Among Elementary and Middle School Students” under the guidance of Lecturer S. Bengisu BÜYÜKMUMCU, have been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Student Research Projects Support Program.
The aim of this study is to gain a better understanding of the psychological factors influencing children’s use of digital games and to identify the factors that increase or decrease the risk of digital game addiction. The findings are expected to contribute to awareness campaigns aimed at helping children develop healthy digital habits and to provide guiding data for families, educators, and experts. Additionally, the study aims to contribute to the scientific literature on digital game addiction among children and
adolescents and to lay the groundwork for future preventive and supportive initiatives.
We congratulate our students and their advisor on their success.
