Our Students Are in the TEKNOFEST 2026 Finals!
Our team, which was a finalist in the Smart Farm category last year under the name AgroByte Vision, has once again qualified as a finalist in the TEKNOFEST Agricultural Technologies Competition this year under the name AgroByte Aqua with its new project focused on aquaculture — in the Agricultural and Animal Production Data Analytics and Information Systems category and will compete in the TEKNOFEST 2026 Şanlıurfa Finals.
In line with its vision of “AgroByte Aqua, the Digital Brain of the Blue Economy,” our team has developed the “Smart Fish Cage Monitoring System”; by developing an autonomous decision-making system based on artificial intelligence and multi-sensor fusion for open-sea and inland water cages, aims to prevent feed waste, enhance cage security, and detect diseases early, thereby contributing to sustainable and efficient aquaculture.
The AgroByte Aqua team consists of our advisor, Prof. Dr. Kıvanç BİLECEN, and our Computer Engineering Department students Muhammed Melih ÇAM, Akın Mert AK, Emin Osman ATCI, Mustafa BÜYÜKTEKTEK, and Şeref Samet ÜMÜTLÜ, as well as Sedanur UĞUR, a master’s student in Aquaculture Engineering at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University who supported the AgroByte Aqua team, and we wish them continued success.
