A ‘Farmer Gathering’ Was Held in Altınekin

FIELD ISSUES ADDRESSED

The event was planned to increase agricultural production efficiency, promote sustainable farming practices, and inform farmers about the latest scientific and technological developments.

The program brought together academic knowledge and industry experience to facilitate knowledge sharing. During the event, one-on-one meetings were held with producers, fundamental problems encountered in the field during the agricultural production process were evaluated, and solutions to these problems were discussed.

Farmers had the opportunity to express the technical difficulties they encounter during production, while questions were answered by expert academics and industry representatives, and science-based, practical recommendations were offered.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

Officials speaking at the program emphasized the strategic importance of university-industry cooperation for agricultural development. They stressed that integrating scientific research outputs with field applications contributes significantly to both producer welfare and national agricultural policies. It was stated that such activities facilitate farmers' direct access to up-to-date and reliable information.

MEETINGS WILL CONTINUE

The Altınekin Farmer Meeting is expected to contribute to the dissemination of conscious agricultural practices and support the sustainability of regional agricultural production. Konya Food and Agriculture University and Konya Şeker A.Ş. stated that they will continue to bring producers together with similar events in the coming periods.
