Konya Food and Agriculture University (KGTÜ) has achieved a remarkable success among universities in Turkey with its institutional citation performance announced in YÖK 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation Report.
Considering the citation rates of scientific publications addressed to the institution, KGTÜ achieved a significant success by ranking 6th among the universities with the highest impact value across the country.
Tangible Indicator of Scientific Impact
The Web of Science (WoS) data for 2024 in the report revealed how often scientific publications published in journals scanned by WoS and showing KGTU as the institutional address were cited.
In this ranking, KGTÜ once again proved its academic strength by ranking 6th among the universities in Turkey.
Competitors and the University's Success
In this important category, Çankaya University ranked first, Piri Reis University ranked second, İskenderun Technical University ranked third, Sabancı University ranked fourth and Gebze Technical University ranked fifth.
KGTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Turan stated that despite being a young and dynamic university, they have achieved a strong visibility in national and international academic platforms in a short time.
Turan emphasized that they stand out especially with their publications with high scientific impact, referenced and guiding publications, and stated that this success shows the quality of the academic staff, the research culture and the importance given to science.
