The enrolment rate at Konya University of Food and Agriculture has exceeded 92 per cent!

With the completion of the Higher Education Institutions Examination placement process, Konya University of Food and Agriculture (KGTÜ) has consolidated its position as a top choice amongst candidates and their parents. According to the published figures, the institution achieved a high enrolment rate of 92.71 per cent; with its broad academic spectrum—extending beyond agriculture and food-focused specialisms to include fields ranging from engineering to psychology, software to interior design and international trade—it has succeeded in attracting attention once again in the new academic year.

Assessing the placement figures, KGTÜ Rector Prof. Dr Erol Turan emphasised that the high enrolment rate achieved was not merely a statistical figure, but a clear reflection of the public’s faith in the university’s vision. Noting that their aim is to equip young people with sector-specific experience, project-based work, entrepreneurship and digital skills rather than overwhelming them with theoretical knowledge, Prof. Dr. Turan stated that they provide an infrastructure that will enable their students to become leading figures of the future in the age of artificial intelligence and biotechnology.

PRACTICAL EDUCATION AND INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS TAKE CENTRE STAGE

Stating that they attach great importance to practical education models and industry partnerships that enable students to gain work experience even before graduation, Rector Turan congratulated the young people who have recently joined the KGTÜ family. Turan explained that they have made it a principle to ensure that every student who chooses the university feels they have made the right decision throughout their entire academic career. He added that they would make every effort to contribute as much as possible to the students’ academic and personal development, and expressed his gratitude to the families who have placed their trust in them.
