Professional Development Program for Psychological Counselors in Konya Completed

Former Minister of National Education Prof. Dr. Ziya Selçuk delivered the opening speech titled “Man as a Mirror to Man,” offering insights on education and human relations.

As part of the program, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Uslu addressed crisis intervention in schools with his presentation titled “Suicide and Legal Intervention in Schools”; Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan Kırdök, in his presentation titled “From Future Anxiety to Future Design: Career Planning in an Age of Uncertainty,” focused on career planning in an era of uncertainty.

Later in the day, workshops held simultaneously in 16 separate rooms addressed various application areas within the field of psychological counseling. Topics such as systemic therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, art therapy, psychodrama, mindfulness, and acceptance-based approaches were presented to participants through practical content.

The event, organized with contributions from experts in the field, contributed to the development of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. It was noted that the program offered an important professional development opportunity for psychological counselors actively working in the field.
