The Future of Agriculture in Konya Was Discussed: Key Issues Were Addressed at a Strategic Workshop

An important workshop aimed at shaping the future of the agricultural sector in Konya was held. The event, hosted by the Kapsül Technology Platform, was attended by the Mevlana Development Agency (MEVKA), Konya Food and Agriculture University, and numerous stakeholders.
EMPHASIS PLACED ON COLLABORATION
At the opening of the program, Mehmet Reha Koçak, General Coordinator of the Capsule Technology Platform; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ezgi Aytaç, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Natural Sciences; and Dr. İhsan Bostancı, Secretary General of MEVKA, delivered speeches. The speeches emphasized the importance of developing agricultural innovation and collaboration among universities, industry, the public sector, and farmers.

STRATEGIES FOR THE FUTURE OF AGRICULTURE HAVE BEEN DEFINED
During the workshop, five separate expert panels were established to thoroughly discuss the current state of the sector and proposed solutions. Topics such as smart and precision agriculture, water and climate resilience, agricultural mechanization, biotechnology, seed expertise, agriculture-food systems, and rural entrepreneurship were addressed.
