The Traditional Alumni-Student Gathering Was Held in the Department of Computer Engineering

The Department of Computer Engineering at our university successfully held its traditional alumni-student gathering. The event took place on December 25, 2025, between 14:00 and 16:00 at the university conference hall.

The opening speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Bilecan, Vice Rector of our university. Faculty members from the Department of Computer Engineering also attended as hosts of the event.

During the event, distinguished alumni of the department met with our students and shared their experiences regarding their graduation process and their journey through academic and professional life. The participating alumni are as follows:

• Mustafa Doğan – Class of 2021, Computer Engineering

• Ebru Akkoca – Class of 2022, Computer Engineering

• Bedirhan Yasin Şimşek – Double Major Graduate: Computer Engineering (2022), Electrical-Electronics Engineering (2023)

• Melih Hopa – Class of 2025, Computer Engineering

Our alumni shared their transition from student life to professional careers, the challenges they faced, and the experiences they gained in an engaging and candid atmosphere. The event provided our students with valuable insights for their career planning.

As the Department of Computer Engineering, we will continue to organize these traditional events aimed at strengthening the bond between our alumni and current students.
