Graduation Celebrations at Konya University of Food and Agriculture

Konya University of Food and Agriculture (KGTÜ) bid farewell to its Class of 2026 with a grand ceremony.
Held on the university campus with the participation of faculty members, students, families, and numerous guests, the graduation ceremony was filled with emotional moments.
The students, taking their places on the field in their graduation gowns, felt the pride of reaping the rewards of years of hard work, while also experiencing the sadness of saying goodbye to university life. During the cap-tossing ceremony—one of the most meaningful moments of the event—the caps that adorned the sky were etched into memories as symbols of determination, hard work, and success.
Speaking at the opening of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Erol Turan, Rector of Konya Food and Agriculture University, addressed the graduates with the following words:
“Today, we are not only presenting you with your diplomas; we are sending off young people equipped with knowledge, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to shape the future. You are the individuals who will build our country’s productive tomorrow and achieve significant successes in the fields of agriculture, food, and sustainability. I wholeheartedly believe in the contributions you will make to Turkey’s development.”
Continuing his speech, Prof. Dr. Turan emphasized that graduation is not merely the end of an educational journey but also the gateway to new beginnings, stating, “Together, we celebrate this important milestone that you have reached through years of hard work, patience, and determination. Throughout your university life, you did not merely acquire academic knowledge; you also gained important life experiences. The challenges you faced and every obstacle you overcame have made you stronger, more self-aware, and more resilient individuals. I believe you will achieve success with the same determination and resolve in the years to come,” he said.
Throughout the ceremony, students and their families shared unforgettable moments. As graduates took plenty of commemorative photos with their friends and faculty members, flowers, gifts, and emotional goodbyes added to the joy of the graduation celebration. At the ceremony, where pride and joy were evident on everyone’s faces, families shared in the joy of being part of their children’s meaningful achievement.
At the end of the program, the graduates received their diplomas and took their first steps into their professional lives. The graduation ceremony, held amid great excitement, concluded with celebrations accompanied by music and the traditional cap-tossing ceremony.
