Feedback Meeting Held with Student Representatives of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics

The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics held an end-of-term meeting with student representatives to receive direct feedback from students and jointly evaluate the education and training processes.
The meeting was held with the participation of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Bilecen, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülcihan Gülseren, and department faculty members Dr. Deniz Sezlev Bilecen and Dr. Aylin Gazdağlı Talay. Dr. Aylin Gazdağlı Talay, a faculty member of the department. Representatives from the preparatory class and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades shared their views and suggestions at the meeting.

The meeting covered the following topics:
•    Preparatory class assessment practices,
•    Course content and teaching methods,
•    Laboratory practices,
•    ECTS workloads,
•    technical trips, external stakeholder relations, and career events,
•    suggestions for improving courses

were discussed; feedback from students was evaluated by faculty members.

Recommendations aimed at supporting students' academic and social development were noted, and it was decided that the relevant issues would be brought to the agenda of the departmental boards and evaluated within the framework of continuous improvement.
As the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, we continue our efforts to improve the education and training processes with a transparent and participatory educational approach that prioritizes student participation.
