FEDEK Visited Our Departments For Accreditation Purposes

FEDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Undergraduate Programs of Faculties of Science, Letters, Science and Letters, and Language, History and Geography) is one of the national accreditation bodies authorized by YÖKAK (Council of Higher Education Quality). With two on-site teams composed of faculty evaluators, FEDEK conducted separate accreditation evaluations of our Psychology and Molecular Biology and Genetics departments starting from 21 December 2025. On the final day of the visit, 23 December 2025, the teams communicated their observations to the Deans through the Program Evaluation Forms they submitted.

In the Program Evaluation Forms prepared by the visiting evaluation teams, both the strengths of the departments and areas open to improvement were identified. In line with our quality assurance approach, these feedback reports have begun to be reviewed by the respective department chairs.

Within the framework of a continuous improvement approach, our Rectorate, Faculties, and Departments continue to enhance their education and training, assessment and evaluation, and student-centered practices through the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle, and view the FEDEK accreditation process as an important opportunity for institutional development. Having reached a certain stage with the site visit, the accreditation process will continue at the FEDEK headquarters, and the final outcome will be determined by the decision of the FEDEK Accreditation Board following a two-month evaluation period.
