Our Psychology Department Student Arya Odabaşı Successfully Completed Her Erasmus Internship in Italy

Arya Odabaşı, a student of our University's Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, has successfully completed her internship in the field of human resources in Italy as part of the Erasmus+ Internship Mobility. Driven by her interest in industrial psychology, our student had the opportunity to put her theoretical knowledge into practice and observe the dynamics of professional business life firsthand. We congratulate our student, who developed her intercultural communication skills by interacting with individuals from various cultures and explored 12 different cities in Italy during her internship, and wish her continued success.

Our Student’s Experience Report:

Italy has always been a dream for me. I see that this experience was not just an internship, but a turning point in my life. My interest in industrial psychology led me to pursue an internship in the field of human resources. Working with my host institution, and especially with our CEO, allowed me to put my theoretical knowledge into practice. I learned many new applications and observed the dynamics of professional business life on-site. One of the greatest values Erasmus added to my life was the shattering of "stereotypes" in my mind. When I came together with people from different cultures, I realized how groundless prejudices truly are. The first day I stepped foot in Italy was the day my character was tested the most; I traveled for 10 hours from Rome to Cosenza with zero internet. This experience significantly reinforced my problem-solving skills and my self-confidence. As three female friends, we explored 12 different cities across Italy. For me, Erasmus was a process where I gained my independence and strengthened my belief that "I can build the life I want."
