Double Success for KGTU at the Community Awards
The Community Awards, organized by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Youth Council and regarded as one of the most prestigious youth initiatives in Konya, once again showcased the achievements of university communities this year. In this meaningful event, where the social, cultural, and academic work carried out by young people throughout the year was evaluated, our university made a name for itself by achieving significant rankings.
In this year’s event, a total of 128 communities competed in various categories, and as a result of the evaluations, only 12 communities were deemed worthy of awards. In this highly competitive environment, the fact that 2 of the 12 awarded communities belonged to Konya Food and Agriculture University became a significant achievement and a source of pride for our university.
As Konya Food and Agriculture University, we support our students not only in academic fields but also in taking active roles in social, cultural, and sports activities, and we value their multifaceted development. The achievements of our student communities operating in this direction once again demonstrate our university’s vision and student-centered approach.
In this context, the E-Sports Community operating within our university received great appreciation for the tournaments, events, and large-scale organizations it held throughout the year. Thanks to its efforts that brought student interest together at the highest level, it was awarded “The Community Organizing the Most Highly Attended Event of the Year.” Our community, which brings university youth together in the field of e-sports, has carried out exemplary work in terms of both high participation and social interaction.
On the other hand, the Organization and Social Interaction Community (OSET), also operating within our university, stood out with its original projects, awareness-raising activities, and work appealing to wide audiences throughout the year. As a result of this successful performance, it won the “Most Interesting Community of the Year” award. The work carried out by OSET has made significant contributions by increasing interaction among students while also strengthening social awareness.
While the Community Awards ceremony creates a strong environment of interaction and cooperation among universities in Konya, it continues to serve as an important platform that encourages the productivity of young people. The achievements of our university students in such organizations present a promising picture for the future.
