
Konya - Ambassador of Ukraine to Ankara Nariman Celâl arrived in Konya upon the invitation of Konya Food and Agriculture University and started his two-day visit.
Jalâl was welcomed at the airport by Prof. Dr. Erol Turan, the Rector of the university, and Hamza Çorabatır, Board Member of the Crimean Businessmen Association.
Although Ambassador Celâl stated that the war environment that Russia has been waging since 2022 has put a strain on economies, he gave the message that “the war will definitely end and cooperation will deepen in every field”. He also highlighted the role of Turkish companies operating in Ukraine despite the war.
Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Turan stated that as a university, they are ready to mediate the development of both commercial, social and cultural ties.
Vyacheslav Homenko, Chief Clerk of the Embassy of Ukraine, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kılıç, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Konya Food and Agriculture University, Mustafa Balta, President of KONİAD, foreign trade and board members of Konya Chamber of Commerce, some academicians from Karatay University and members of Crimean Businessmen Association also took part in the visit.
